About Me
Personal Journay

I am a first-generation Chinese immigrant, and identify as People of Color.
I have a strong passion for working with individuals, couples, and families. This passion led me to obtain my second Master’s Degree and license after moving to the U.S. in 2019. The experience of continuing my career in a different culture, using a different language, has not been easy, but it is rewarding. I am grateful that I can offer my professional services to the bigger community now.
Prior to coming to the U.S, I received my Master's Degree in Psychology in 2006 and have been working in the field since 2011, including counseling, teaching, and supervision in China.

What I learned from my personal psychoanalysis and my clinical work is:

Our experiences growing up color the way we experience ourselves, others and relationships unconsciously and repeatedly.

The more we can understand our reactions, thoughts, and the underlying emotions and feelings, the more flexible we can be in responding to the outside world and pursuing what we really want.

Other Aspect of Me
Besides being a therapist, I am also a wife and a mother, living with two cats. I enjoy walking, meditating, and basking in the sunshine in my spare time.
Before entering the mental health field, I was an undergraduate in computer science and worked for years at a university and a high-tech company. These experiences help me better understand the people who work in the high-tech field.
